Maintaining Your New Look: The Importance of “Infills”

“Infills”, also known as “refills”, help maintain the dense look of your lash set by preventing further damage from heavy and droopy outgrown lashes. Fill are highly recommended every 2-3 weeks once you have had an eyelash extension application and are essential to ensuring your lashes looking their best. Depending on your aftercare and natural lash cycle, you may need a fill after 2 or 3 weeks. Like the hairs on our heads, lashes shed daily, though many people do not realize this. We lose around 1-5 lashes a day, though you will rarely notice this as they are fine and thin. But don’t worry! When you lose a natural lash (that has an extension on it) a new one grows in its place.

During a fill appointment, we remove outgrown lash extensions that have moved halfway up your natural lash as its grown. Then we place a new extension/fan on any of the lashes currently without an extension. The extensions on your natural lashes will shed after or around 4 weeks when properly cared for. Keep in mind that due to our natural lashes shedding normally 1-5 per day – per eye, refills are so important. It is important that you do not wait too long between fills to come in for your touchup. Should you have less than 30% of your original full set intact, we will require the purchase of a brand new full set.
